I have no idea if this post will work! Dawn is in Wellington and I’m posting solo, so fingers crossed. This is the GPS track from the bike ride I had the other morning. Micko was on his might CBR600RR, Macca on his lunatic ZX10R and I borrowed Tredders CBR250. The track took us up the Rangitiki then across to Feilding, where we stopped for a coffee before returning back to Ohakea. It was an awesome ride, just need my own machine now….
Bit of history to explain what the GPS tracker is. Its called an I-gotu and its about the size of matchbox. This neat little box of tricks records GPS data whilst your moving and then allows you to down load and create maps from Google earth. Way cool. So far its been for a flight up to 10,000ft and now for a blast on the bike. I was going to record my bike ride from Ohakea to Palmerston North today but the battery was dead from the day before (silly me forgot to turn it off!). Dawn got it for me as a late christmas pressie and it’s mint. I can take it pretty much anywhere (even on the water as its water resistant) and record how fast I went, how high and my exact track, plus if I hook it up to my laptop I can couple it to some GPS software and get instant readings. Saaaaahhhhwwweeeeeeettttt bro.
